12th December 2002 The Long awaited Hangar 13 DJ & MC Competition kicks off soon. Starting from 1st February 2003 this is your chance to play with the big boys, all you have to do is send your demo tape to us at Hangar
Competition Demo tapes must be no longer or shorter than 30mins. All styles welcome. More information will be posted here shortly.
13th december 2002 Just to confirm that djs (marc smith,ten,bounceman,haston) & mcs (masteryhme,badboy & stompin) are 100% booked and confirmed for boxing day hangar 13 event. 20th december 2002 News has just came to light that our very own (dj scott & mc attack) have taken 2 bookings in barcelona spain. This is the 1st time ever that a mc has been booked to work with a dj,as we all know the spanish clubs dont have mcs just djs. Friday 3rd jan 2003 the lads do there 1st gig at the massive (chasis) club in the heart of barcelona.This club holds 2500 people and is one of the best in spain, the booking is a old skool makina set from 96 to 2000.The full line up and flyer will be uploaded soon. Saturday 4th jan 2003 the lads head for there 2nd gig at one of the biggest clubs in spain (piramide).This club holds 5000 people and puts on a show whats out of this world. The booking is a pure hangar 13 dj & mc set. The full line and flyer will be uploaded soon. Photos from these events will be in the photos section by the end of jan 2003. 20th december 2002 Keep it safe important notice The late licence for hangar 13 boxing day bash has not been granted, the event will shut at 1am.Please make sure you change your transport details to 1am. The new years eve hangar 13 event will not be on this year, but next year look forward to more events coming your way. 22nd december 2002 Djs bounceman and haston will not be at hangar 13 boxing day bash due to transport problems. We will be looking for another dj to fill there slot and let you know who it is as soon as we can. 24th december 2002 Great new hangar fans dj attack will be filling in for bounceman and haston on boxing day. The set he will be playing is from 96 to 98 all the classics from the old clubs. Dont forget his side kick mc masteryhme will be pumping out all the classics raps as well. 29th december 2002 The keep it safe promotions staff hope you had a wicked night at hangar 13 on boxing day. By the feedback we have had from people so far we rate boxing day as one of the best this year. Next year we have more hangar 13 events for you, we will be doing 6 or 12 more events than what we already do. We have lots of very big events planned out for 2003. Hangar 13 vs la festa in feb, line up and flyer out in 2 weeks. In march we have a very big dj from spain she is the only women in spain to play makina (Monica-x), hangar 13 has been contacted by the biggest magazine in spain (DJ1). They want monica to do a full review of the night for spanish press. England vs spain is plannded for april, line up t.b.c soon. More north east showcase events planned, scotland vs england 5 is planned for the summer, so keep checking back for full details on forthcoming events. 7th jan 2003 Dj scott & mc attack did us proud rocking the piramide club in spain,photos & review will be loaded on the site by the weekend. 7th jan 2003 Hangar 13 vs la festa event feb 2003 the spanish dj line up has been confirmed, flying over for the night are dj piyuli & oliver schmitz. Flyer will be out next week with full details and line up. 14th jan 2003 Hangar 13 jan 25th 2003 event there will be 2 lazers on show for this event. 14th jan 2003 Full line up for feb 22nd 2003 hangar 13 vs la festa event has been confirmed now. Djs playing are piyuli, oliver schmitz, chris dynamite, d-tox, turbotech, chris blandy, scott, trouble, react, carter, chris moon & quest. Mcs confirmed are Stompin, jumpin, kc, techno-t, g-force, hype, massive. 3rd feb 2003 Keep it safe promotions have started the (keep it safe magazine) the magazine was ment to be on A5 booklet format, but the cost of printing was far to high to make it happen. So we thought that the website will be the best way to give you all the info you need about the scene you support. Over the next few weeks we will be adding page after page, interviews, photo's,12" reviews for all style's, event review's etc etc. so please check back from time to time. 2nd march 2003 Hangar 13 and spain's biggest dance magazine DJ 1 have teamed up to do a one off event. DJ 1 are writing a full 5 page review with photo's about hangar 13 night for the spanish market. We have a very big dj coming over just for this event she is the only lady in spain to play hardcore DJ MONICA X. So dress to impress
6th march 2003 Hangar 13 in April you will see dj's Bolo & Uri from Bit music spain return to rock us once again. If you missed these guys the 1st time make sure you don't miss them again. Hangar 13 our 1st event in may we bring you dj's Boti & xavi Munoz from spain these are the guys who made the massive Spanish pom pom. Its the 1st time at hangar for these guys so lets make it a big night for them. The keep it safe promotions team has just made a deal with the Uprising promoters from Sheffield to bring you a massive event for our 2nd night in may. Hangar 13 vs Uprising with dj's M-zone, Top groove, Spinner & mc Natz also dj's Scott, Trouble, Attack & mc's Techno-T, G-force, Hype, Jet & dj & mc comp winners showing us what they can do. Watch out later in the year for Uprising vs Hangar 13 at Sheffield more info and coach prices to come. 7th march 2003 DJ Scott & Techno-T have been booked for the massive T.F.I. FRIDAY event at doncaster on April 4th 2003. Also on the 17th may DJ Scott has taken a booking for the massive Dizstruxshon event in Doncaster, Keep it safe will be putting a coach on to these events so if anybody wants to go e-mail Scott line up and flyers coming soon. Keep it safe promotions has just sealed a deal with the Dizstruxshon promoters to host a hangar 13 arena at the 11th birthday bash event on 19th July 2003 at the massive Dome venue in Doncaster. We will be putting 4 50 seat coach's on for this event so get your names down now for seats so you dont miss out. DJ Scott has just sealed a deal with DJ M-zone to produce tracks for the Hangar 13 label and the new Makina music label. The style will be based on 3 formats covering 145 bpm Hardbase mix & 160 bpm Hardtrance & 160 bpm DJ Scott Makina remix. The 1st release will be due out in may 2003 and then 1 release per month. 10th march 2003 Hangar 13 29th march event M8 magazine from Scotland will be attending this event to take photo's and to write a review on this night to feature in the April issue of the magazine so dress to impress. Hangar 13 24th may event Hangar 13 vs Uprising, M8 magazine will be attending this event to do a full feature in June's issue so dress to impress. We will be giving away free tapes from both of our events on the night make sure you grab one. 24th march 2003 Hangar 13 room at the massive Dizstruxshon event has been 100% confirmed to day by the promoters of the event. The event is on 19th July for the Dizstruxshon 11th birthday as the event is a few months away the line up for the whole night is not confirmed as yet but i can confirm some of the hangar 13 dj's & mc's that will be playing. Dj's Scott, trouble & mc's techno-t & attack all confirmed with more dj's & mc's to follow. Keep it safe have hired coach's to this event and if anyone wants to go the seats will be £10 depending on the demand so book your seat now to avoid being disappointed and missing this venue that holds 4000 people.
